The Legion of Valor Veteran's Museum Receives Donation

FRESNO, CALIFORNIA.- Table Mountain Rancheria presented a check for $6,997.20 to the local Legion of Valor Veteran's Museum to support continued improvements within the museum. Casino President John Mayewski, Casino Vice President Frances Dandy and Marketing Director Samantha Bender visited the museum for a check presentation. Over the last three years, the Casino has donated over $13,500, allowing the museum to make several improvements.

Year round, Table Mountain Casino allows the coins to build up in the water fountain in front of Eagles Landing Restaurant and one time a year, they collect the coins and donate them to the museum. In addition, the Casino matches the total amount collected.

"Table Mountain Rancheria's support has allowed us to make significant upgrades to the Museum, increasing its educational value," said Art Hill, Museum Director. "With this year's donation, we plan to create a film that will show actual footage of each of the wars depicted in our main hall. We feel that it will greatly enhance the experience for our visitors as well as honor those who served our country during each of those wars."

With the first donation, the Legion of Valor Veteran's Museum contracted a professional artist out of Los Angeles to create a mural around the Museum depicting scenes from the United States of America's most impacting wars, including Dessert Storm, Pearl Harbor, Tarawa in South Pacific Island, North Africa, Omaha Beach at Normandy Landings, and Battle of the Bulge of WWII. These murals include animation and three-dimensional detailing to take museum visitors back in time.

The second donation provided the museum with the funds to professionally narrate the mural providing students with the history behind each of the paintings. As the narration continues, the featured war lights up to tell the story.
