Museum of Fine Arts Boston a vibrant group of young professionalshosts the sixth annual SUMMER PARTY, a festive event featuring summery cocktails, hearty hors doeuvres, dessert, music by DJ Deja, dancing, and a juried silent auction including works by local artists. The theme of this years event is a Black-Tie Masquerade, where guests are encouraged to don creative masks along with their tuxedos and gowns. The MFAs Museum Councilone of Bostons oldest Museum-affiliated groups for young professionalsis made up of philanthropic-minded people, ages 21-45. The groups mission is to bring together art enthusiasts from diverse professions and backgrounds in support of the MFA. The more than 500 Museum Council members are offered unique avenues to further their understanding and appreciation of the Museum. In addition to receiving all benefits of Museum membership, Museum Council members enjoy preferential viewing privileges for major exhibitions and are invited to exclusive events designed to bring them closer to the Museum, its collections, and staff.
Proceeds benefit the Museum Council Artist in Residency Program and provide vital operating support for the MFA.
