Hmmm. Today's issue of artdaily features a piece on the DIA's "new" Ancient Middle East Galleries. Unless I'm missing something, that's old news. Our AME galleries opened a few years ago.

It has recently come to my attention that. in the body text of your article abstracts, my system renders apostrophes as simple squares. This indicates to me that I don't have your chosen font installed (Windows 10, current iteration,) or (less likely) that your font does not have a complete character set. Could you advise me of the font used so I can rectify this"problem". I'm not (honestly) a nit-picker, but . . . Thanks in advance for your reply! Barry Richmond, VA P.S. Great Site/Daily Newsletter . . . now if I could only travel again . . . B>) BWell Folks!

Freud's Museum: It is devoid of furniture because the (North) American Psychoanalitic Society paid for them to the Nazis so that Freud's Family could take them to London. When the Museum was opened, they refused to give them back to a Country where rhousands had celebrated tha Anschluss.

A fresh Guinness Collection Highlights video has been released, utilizing a rare 1907 Welte-Mignon Kabinett piano recently installed into the Guinness Gallery at the now reopened Morris Museum, in Morristown, New Jersey. Accomplished ragtime pianist Muriel Pollock recorded for posterity "Dancing The Jelly Roll" for M. Welte & Sons in 1916, a piece composed by Herman Paley two years earlier. Not wax, not vinyl, not wire nor tape. Heard here on a real instrument, the way these artists preferred their music to be enjoyed. https://youtu.be/6qJSAw5Rq68

I'd like to sell a Beatles collection called "Beatles: The Days In Their Lives". I have the original Radio programs that aired as a Radio special in 1984-1985. The special was a 30 hour audio documentary on 30 separate reel-to-reel tapes. Unfortunately, the first five tapes are missing. I have volumes 6 through 30. They were produced by TM Productions, and by contract, only aired once. I'd like to sell them through auction, consignment, or sell outright. Please get back to me if you have any interest, or know of someone who does. Thank You, Robert Soto 323-273-1627 Los Angeles area

Hello - I am the Communications Director for the City of Plaquemine, Louisiana, US. You have an article about the Zoe Spedale estate auction. Her home was in Plaquemine. The City takes GREAT offense to the last two sentences of the article, which bash the city and are totally incorrect. The Spedale family has left the house in disrepair - and that is on them. We have many historic homes that have been brought back to their glory and are wonderful homes for families. Please remove these two sentences immediately as they are false and certainly damaging to our city. We would also like to know where else this is posted and whether you will retract the sentences in those places also. It was unnecessary, unresearched, and in bad taste on your writer's part.

Related to your article on the McLean/Lee pocket watch being auctioned (https://artdaily.cc/news/123570/American-Civil-War-pocket-watch-given-by-General-Robert-E--Lee-to-be-sold-at-auction). Our analysis concludes the inscription on this watch was faked. You may find it beneficial to append or follow up on your original article. We have also reached out to the auction company for comment. https://pocketwatchdatabase.com/blog/2020/05/28/civil-war-era-waltham-watch-with-faked-robert-e-lee-inscription-to-be-auctioned-by-dix-noonan-webb/
