Among the stunning views painted by Taylor Carson are those of Horn Head and Sheephaven Bay, the beach at Downings, Muckish Mountain from Breaghy Head, Lackagh Bridge and Clontallagh. With deft command of the paintbrush he captures the ever-changing light as it passes over the wealth of breath-taking landmarks the county has to offer.

The honest and unassuming style for which he is celebrated beautifully captures the people connected to those places and their way of life, some of which is slowly disappearing or already part of a time past. Fishermen, horses and riders, to Travellers, talkers and dancers… all kinds of characters are observed and celebrated in this collection.

Although Donegal features heavily, other parts of the country are also captured. Outside of Ireland, Taylor Carson’s time spent on the Continent, The Canary and Balearic Islands, North America and Canada is also included. Decorative Still Lifes and Nude Studies shed light on another side of the artist’s oeuvre which buyers may not be familiar with.
