PARIS.- Only a few steps away from the Palais Brongniart which welcomes the Salon du Dessin as a major yearly rendez-vous, Drouot will feature several events and a series of auctions around the Arts on Paper, standing as a key cultural actor in the art market scene.

From 13 to 21 March, Drouot organises a curated exhibition titled OEuvres Choisies. The exhibition will include a ‘Drawing Cabinet’ that gathers highlights from the upcoming sales. The selection of works will offer a wide panel of drawings ranging from the 17th century to nowadays. Most of it will be offered at auction between the 21 and 26 March at Drouot, during six dedicated auctions and included in section among larger sales. This important retrospective will be a beautiful opportunity for collectors and connoisseurs to identify some of the greatest artists of their time, from De La Fosse in the 17th century to celebrated contemporary artist Banksy and including Hubert Robert, Jacques Majorelle, Vassily Kandinsky, Henri Matisse, Sam Francis and Chu Teh-Chun.

Additionally, Danish auction house Bruun Rasmussen will feature highlights from an old master collection of drawings, the Wolff Collection Which will be offered in Copenhagen in May. On March 20 and 21, some of the 2,000 works will be on view at 12 Drouot (exhibition gallery facing Drouot).
