SAN DIEGO, CA.- The Latin American Art Fair, an inaugural fine arts exhibition for Latin American artists in the U.S. and South America, will bring artists and art lovers together for a two-day showcase on Saturday, October 13 and Sunday, October 14. Formerly known as the Latin American Art Festival, this event will be held at its new venue, Bread & Salt in San Diego’s Barrio Logan where the public can enjoy authentic Latin American artistry from over 50 local and international artists.

“We are thrilled to announce to the community that Latin American Art Festival has transitioned from an outdoor art festival to an indoor/outdoor art event, which is why our new name is the Latin American Art Fair. This change will provide a space for both established and emerging artists from Latin America to display their work and connect with our community,” said Aida Valencia, co-director of the Latin American Art Fair. “This is more than just a fine arts event. It’s an experience—a window into the rich culture behind each artist.”

The Latin American Art Fair will feature international and local art galleries, established and emerging artists, fine and folk art as well as live entertainment from musicians and dancers from Peru, Guatemala, Oaxaca and Tijuana. The event will feature a beer garden hosted by Border X Brewing and cuisine from local vendors. As a way of supporting the Barrio Logan art scene, Latin American Art Fair will coincide with the October Barrio Art Crawl, a free self-guided tour consisting of murals, open studios, galleries and local businesses throughout the Barrio Logan Arts District taking place every second Saturday of the month.

The mission of Latin American Art Fair is to elevate, engage, and support Latin American artists and fine art. Artists from every medium including folk art, photography, glass work, jewelry, sculptures, oil painting and photography are featured, providing an opportunity for them to share and celebrate their heritage alongside their art.

“By hosting the event in Barrio Logan, we’re staying close to our roots and supporting the art scene in this historic neighborhood,” said Benito Del Aguila, co-director of the Latin American Art Fair. “We want to provide a platform for our many international artists to connect with San Diego’s binational art scene and showcase their work and culture. Our goal is to support all of our artists in their careers.”

The Latin American Art Fair will begin with a VIP event for art collectors and galleries on Friday, October 12 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. The event is open to the public on Saturday and Sunday, October 13 and 14 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Admission is $20, and tickets may be purchased online or at the door.
