NEW YORK, NY.- Dominique Lévy and Brett Gorvy welcome Bona Yoo to the Lévy Gorvy team in New York, where she will join as a sales director, starting November 1, 2018.

Previously Yoo was a director at Lehmann Maupin, where she worked with notable artists from the program, as well as important collectors and institutions internationally. With her diverse cultural sensibility and unique curatorial insight, Yoo was key in developing the gallery’s global strategy and initiatives, and was instrumental in strengthening their international sales. She played a pivotal role in the introduction of the gallery’s program and market development efforts in Asia, particularly in Korea, where Yoo spearheaded the opening of the gallery’s Seoul location in 2017. Prior to Lehmann Maupin, she worked as a sales director at Kukje Gallery in Seoul, where she had experience working with Dansaekhwa artists and their works—a focus she will continue to develop in her work at Lévy Gorvy, serving as artist liaison for artists such as Seung-taek Lee and Chung Sang-Hwa.

“We are very much looking forward to Bona joining Lévy Gorvy,” says Dominique Lévy. “She has deep knowledge and passion for 20th century art, and has an incredible global network, with expertise and experience working in Asia, and Korea in particular. She will be responsible for furthering Lévy Gorvy’s relationships and connections to collectors and institutions internationally, and lead as client liaison for all our Korean contacts.”

"I am incredibly thrilled and humbled to join Lévy Gorvy at this exciting moment of the gallery’s development and expansion,” states Yoo. “Lévy Gorvy embodies values that I most strive for— devotion to the highest levels of connoisseurship and quality. With the gallery’s unparalleled program and industry reach, I look forward to continuing to work closely with collectors to broaden and refine their collections with the highest quality of works, and to collaborating with artists and estates to reach new audiences and promote works in regions with growing awareness, especially in Asia. I envision tremendous growth opportunities in the upcoming years, and I am excited to contribute my experiences and expertise in this time of change."
