DORSET, UK.- Lighthouse, Poole's Centre for The Arts presents Capture Installations. Capture is a unique collection of single screen works, video installations and new media works. This exhibition at Lighthouse features two works Electric Fur and Warstars. Electric Fur:Within a dual screen evironment, a series of female bodies are seen floating, fidgeting and convulsing through shifting states of enery. Audiences experience the work as a physical journey, creating their own mix between vertical and horizontal dimensions of screen.
The loop runs for just over 20 mins and up to 20 people can experience the installation at any one time. Warstars: Warstars is a series of short interrelated films inspired by the physical and cultural landscapes of Iceland. The films expose rhythms of nature explored by the editing process which lends a mythic quality to the progression through lava, water, sulphur, rock and ice. Each film has an original score that combines with the film to create stereo soundscapes.
