PALO ALTO, CA.- The Palo Alto Art Center will present Style 2005: A Magical Art-for-Wear Trunk Show taking place on Saturday, April 16, 2005, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. The event showcases the distinctive works of fourteen contemporary clothing designers and five art jewelers. This first-time event is organized by Diane Master-the creative energy behind the Palo Alto Art Center's successful Gallery Shop and the Palo Alto Clay and Glass Festival-and will benefit art education programs of the Palo Alto Art Center. Participating designers and artists include well-known San Francisco Bay Area jewelers April Higashi, Claudia Kussano and Julia Turner, and textile artists Bethanie Brandon, Anja Broenink, Jean Williams Cacicedo, Marian Clayden, Judith Content, Angelina DeAntonis, Ana Lisa Hedstron, Hiroko Kurihara, Carol Lee Shanks, Galya Rosenfeld and Mark Thomas, as well as other artists from California and Oregon.
