¡All California! Juried Exhibition and Auction Deadline

LAGUNA BEACH, CA.-Laguna Art Museum’s 23rd annual art auction has an exciting new format. For the first time, the longest running art museum auction in California will use a juried selection process that calls on the expertise of art gallery owners from throughout the state. As an added value, the Museum will host a year long online virtual exhibition of work selected for the auction. Plus, three cash awards will be offered to participating artists. Works of art donated to the auction support one of the only art museums with a focus on California art. This year’s auction will be held on October 22, 2005.

Artists may submit a total of TWO works of art each represented by digital images—only digital images will be accepted – no slides! Juror’s selections will be based on digital entries. One or both works may be selected; if selected, work(s) must be available for exhibition and auction. For entry form and complete guidelines, please visit

Jurors for this year’s auction include: John Natsoulas Gallery, Davis; Heather Marx Gallery, San Francisco; Nathan Larramendy Gallery, Ojai; Roberts & Tilton Gallery, Los Angeles; Peter Blake Gallery, Laguna Beach; Laguna Art Museum, Laguna Beach; and David Zapf Gallery, San Diego.

Questions regarding the auction can be answered by Marnie Wall, Events Coordinator, Laguna Art Museum (949) 494-8971, ext. 219, auction@lagunaartmuseum.org.

Laguna Art Museum continues a tradition that began with the Laguna Beach Art Association, the oldest cultural institution in Orange County, California founded in the summer of 1918. Permanent collections and exhibitions feature historical, contemporary, and pop-culture-oriented art, with an emphasis on the art of California.
