SANTA ANA, CA.-The Orange County Center for Contemporary Art, announces a Call for Entries for its Demise of Democracy exhibition. Exhibition dates: November 3 through 27, 2005. Deadline: Entries are due October 1, 2005. Juror: Peter Clothier. All Media.

Juror: Peter Clothier: Peter Clothier () is an art critic and writer of long standing. He has written for most of the major art journals, and is the author of "David Hockney" in the Abbeville Modern Masters series. His current passion is his weblog, 'The Bush Diaries' () a series of somewhat irreverent daily letters to the US President, in which he champions true democracy and liberal causes.
Juror Statement: "I will be looking for work that 1) seems to be authentically questioning where we stand in relation to democracy in the United States today; 2) manages to address the issue without simply "making a statement"; and 3) is capable of standing alone as a work of art, produced with care, thoughtfulness, an eye to quality and depth of experience.
Timeline: Slide/Fee/Entry Deadline: October 1, 2005; Artwork Delivery: Shipped work must arrive by October 28, 2005; Hand Delivered: October 27-30, 2005 12 pm to 3 pm; Exhibition Opens: November 3, 2005; Reception: November 3, 2005 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.; Exhibition Closes: November 27, 2005; Artwork Pick-up: November 28 and 29, 2005 Noon to 3 p.m.
