Shortlist for Stirling 2005 Revealed |

LONDON, ENGLAND.- This year the judging panel selected 13 projects to go on the longlist for the RIBA Stirling Prize, and from them drew up a shortlist of six projects which the Stirling Judges will visit and judge.
The shortlist comprises: BMW Central Building, Leipzig by Zaha Hadid; Fawood Children's Centre, north London by Alsop Design; Jubilee Library, Brighton by Bennetts Associates with Lomax Cassidy + Edwards; Lewis Glucksman Gallery, Cork by O'Donnell + Tuomey; McLaren Technology Centre, Woking by Foster and Partners; and Scottish Parliament, Edinburgh by EMBT/RMJM.
The judges are: Isabel Allen, editor, The Architects' Journal; Joan Bakewell, journalist; Max Fordham, environmental engineer; Piers Gough; Jack Pringle, president, RIBA.
The other projects on the longlist were: Norwich Cathedral Refectory by Hopkins Architects; Abode, Newhall, Parcel 18 by Proctor and Matthews; Millau Viaduct by Foster and Partners; The Sage Music Centre by Foster and Partners; Mossbourne Community Academy by Richard Rogers Partnership, House at Clonaikilty by Niall McLaughlin Architects; and The Orangery at Great Ormond Street Hospital by Spacelabuk. The winner will be announced at the awards dinner in Edinburgh on 15 October.
