Glexis Novoa Lecture Series Presented |

MIAMI, FLORIDA.-The Patricia and Phillip Frost Art Museum in conjunction with The Art & Art History Department at Florida International University is pleased to present a captivating lecture by artist Glexis Novoa on Tuesday, October 18th, as part of the museum’s Latin American & Caribbean Art Lecture Series hosted by Citibank. The event will take place at the Citibank, Coral Gables Financial Center and will commence with a cocktail reception at 6:00 p.m. followed by the lecture at 7:00 p.m. In the lecture, entitles Ten Years Working in Miami : Cuban Nostalgia and American Experiences, Mr. Novoa will show his most significant pieces and reveal images of cities and events that have influenced his work.
Cuban-born artist Glexis Novoa is known for his meticulously drawn graphite landscapes. Novoa’s drawings indicate time and place as a complex network of observations and memories, impressions and inventions, histories and fantasies.
This event will be held Tuesday, October 18 at Citibank, F.S.B., Coral Gables Financial Center located at 1190 South Dixie Highway, Coral Gables, Fl. A cocktail reception will be held at 6:00 pm and the lecture begins at 7:00 pm. Limited seating, please xall 305.348.1899 for reservations.
The Patricia and Phillip Frost Art Museum at Florida International University is an AAM accredited university museum and Smithsonian affiliate. All museum events are free and open to the public. The Frost Art Museum is located in PC110 in the Charles Perry building, SW 107th Ave and 8th St at the Florida International University, University Park campus.
