BARCELONA.- Six N. Five, the award-winning art studio of Argentinian designer Ezequiel Pini specialising in Digital Imaginary worlds through NFT, has announced the opening of the Moco Concept Store. It is the first physical permanent space designed for Moco Museum in Barcelona in collaboration with the talented interior designer Isern Serra.

The Moco Concept Store is the real-life transposition of a virtual concept; created by Six N. Five with the aim of bringing to life new ideas in an immersive world that celebrates artistic activity through a carefully-selected collection of sustainable products and limited edition art pieces from modern and contemporary names.

The Moco Concept Store is a continuation of the research conducted by Six N. Five since being founded in 2014. Curiosity is the starting point for exploring different disciplines at the edge of design and art, digital and reality.

The creative studio engages the latest technologies to create, investigate and experiment across media like imagery, films, objects, spaces and environmental design. Six N. Five uses digital tools and CGI – computer-generated imagery – to create minimal, surreal and tranquil environments, pastel-hued dreamscapes and vibrant unthinkable architectures that allude to the endless possibilities of this ever-evolving digital tool.

Moco Museum is an innovative and inclusive museum dedicated to modern and contemporary art (hence the name) exhibiting masters like Keith Haring, Jean-Michel Basquiat, Damien Hirst, Tracey Emin, and young and upcoming artists like JR, OsGemeos, Icy & Sot, Stik and Banksy. Moco Museum Barcelona entrusted its new space with Six N. Five to pursue the concept of exploring the most up-to-date and cutting-edge forms of artistic expression.

In Moco’s words: “Through creativity we can shape a new reality. We are all co-creators of this new world”.

The collaboration between the museum and the studio began at Art Basel 2022 last June: Six N. Five was asked by Moco to collaborate on designing the bespoke NetJets Collectors Lounge - this is the first example of one of its digital spaces evolving into the physical. In addition to custom furniture and collectible pieces designed by Six N. Five, the studio exhibited important digital works of art to bestow the space with a futuristic perspective.

The Moco Concept Store begins with the same curious idea as the NetJets Lounge but with distinct characteristics to accommodate a different function. The concept was to construct a dedicated space with an overarching commercial purpose and encapsulate the mission of the museum: to be inclusive, enlightening, inspiring and empowering by making art accessible to all. The Moco Concept Store welcomes visitors within a space defined by innovation, where contemporary creativity is ubiquitous - subtle pink hues and curvilinear forms undulate, distinct stylistic characteristics synonymous with the CGI dreamscapes of the studio. Six N. Five collaborated with Isern Serra to transform these digital creations and components into tangible reality as an experiential environment that is both real and unreal.

"When you’re challenged to explore the unknown and things that have never been done before - you’re moved to do what has not been done before”, Six N. Five explain. “One of the things that thrills me the most is being able to create new spaces and experiences through images, videos, and virtual reality that allow us to imagine something different from what we are used to. The Moco Concept Store represented an interesting challenge, as I had to combine the purpose of the store with actual architecture remaining true to our original dreamy world I had built in CGI, but these concepts were able to go one level further, both in decisions and execution, thanks to Isern Serra who brought his extraordinary talent and experience".

Moco Museum Barcelona opened in the heart of Barcelona in 2021 - exhibiting a wide range of inspiring modern and contemporary art by internationally renowned artists and rising stars. Jean-Michel Basquiat, Banksy, KAWS, Keith Haring, Damien Hirst, Andy Warhol, Yayoi Kusama, David LaChapelle, Takashi Murakami, Studio Irma, teamLab, Hayden Kays, Nick Thomm, Guillermo Lorca, & many more!
Located in the heart of El Born, at c / Montcada 25 in Barcelona, the cultural-historical mecca of Barcelona. MOCO Museum houses its collection in the Palau Cervelló, formerly the private residence of the noble Cervelló family until the 18th Century. From the Middle Ages to the 20th Century, aristocrats, merchants, and royals have held onto this historical site. Now, with the utmost respect, MOCO takes over the space of Palau Cervelló to restore and safeguard this historic institution to welcome everyone.

Based in Barcelona, Six N. Five is the art studio of the award-winning Argentinian designer Ezequiel Pini. Over the last years, Pini has pioneered the use of 3D and different media to create imaginary, dreamlike worlds with his signature clean, modern aesthetic, making Six N. Five of the most recognised digital creative practices. Its refined imagination, its poetic compositions, elegant skills and forward-looking attitude make Six N. Five one of the most recognisable artists in the contemporary digital art scene.

The studio’s collaborations include projects, events and exhibitions in museums and cultural institutions like Moco Museum in Barcelona and Amsterdam, Art Basel, Fotografiska Stockholm, Museo della Permanente in Milan, London Design Festival, as well as collaborations with brands like Nike, Salvatore Ferragamo and Microsoft.
