NEW YORK.- The world’s leading fine art dealers come together once again for The International Fine Art Fair in New York, from the 12th-17th May 2006. This marks the 12th edition of the event at which institutional and private buyers are presented with the opportunity to enjoy a wide range of paintings, drawings, watercolours, and sculpture, from Renaissance gold ground panel paintings through to 20th century Modern art. European and American artists are both represented and imagery extends over the full range of religious and secular subject matter, including mythological and allegorical scenes, landscapes and cityscapes – a number of views of New York City among these – as well as still lives, portraits, marine views, interiors and so on.

There is a Benefit Preview for The Frick Collection on Thursday, 11th May at which guests will be able to enjoy a special private view of the fair before it opens to the public the following morning.

The International Fine Art Fair caters for a broad range of tastes and pockets (prices start from under $1000). The fair is aimed at both established buyers, those seeking a very special acquisition, as well as at collectors of more modest means but for whom quality is no less important. All works are for sale and are strictly vetted for quality and authenticity by panels of specialists from the museum and commercial art worlds.
