NEW YORK.-Phillips de Pury & Company is very excited to announce its expansion into a dynamic, new space in London. The building, a former post office sorting station built in 1894 is situated in Victoria, the bustling area between Westminster and Chelsea. The property is owned by international developer, Alessandro Cajrati Crivelli. Mr. Crivelli housed the top designers in the fashion world in Milan and is now looking to create an extraordinary real estate development for the art world in London.
Phillips de Pury & Company will occupy over 40,000 square feet of space to hold auctions in: Contemporary Art, Photographs, Design and Jewelry, and the newly introduced Saturday@Phillips sales. Operating as the new European headquarters, the facility will also stage selling exhibitions for international photographers, designers and artists - as they currently do in New York.
Simon de Pury, Chairman of Phillips de Pury & Company says “When I first walked into No. 2 Howick Place, I had the exact same rush of excitement as I had when I first walked into our wonderful headquarters in Chelsea, New York. This building epitomizes what we stand for. We look forward to further strengthening our leading position on the cutting-edge of the art market.”
