NEW YORK, NY.- Christie’s unveiled exceptional jewels from Magnificent Jewels, a live auction taking place on December 10 at Rockefeller Center. The sale will showcase dazzling white diamonds, superb colored diamonds and richly saturated colored stones as well as important private collections, featuring an exquisite selection of historical and modern jewelry, with pieces by renowned jewelers such as Suzanne Belperron, Cartier, Harry Winston, Tiffany & Co., Van Cleef & Arpels, and more. Notable highlights include an impressive selection of jewels by JAR from multiple private collections: MICA: THE COLLECTION OF MICA ERTEGUN and others.

The sale is led by a 5.72-carat Fancy Intense Blue Diamond Ring, estimated at $6,000,000-8,000,000. Other highlights include a 20.08-carat Diamond Ring ($800,000–1,200,000), a pair of Harry Winston Spinel and Diamond Earrings ($400,000–600,000), and a 32.41-carat Fancy Intense Yellow Diamond Ring, offered without reserve ($350,000–450,000).

Magnificent Jewels will also highlight MICA: THE COLLECTION OF MICA ERTEGUN - the designer, philanthropist, and style icon celebrated for her refined, multicultural taste and distinct aesthetic vision. This collection pays tribute to her unique eye for style, showcasing a meticulously curated selection of jewels she cherished in her everyday life. Highlights include a Cartier Art Deco Multi-Gem and Diamond Brooch (estimate: $100,000–150,000) and a Rare Jar Ruby and Diamond Torsade Necklace (estimate: $80,000-120,000).

Treasures of Love is a collection of exquisite jewelry, lovingly curated by a couple who were engaged just two weeks after meeting at a dance and went on to share over 50 years of marriage. Throughout their lives together, the couple assembled this collection from around the world, becoming highly esteemed clients of Van Cleef & Arpels, the legendary French jewelry house.  This collection features some of the most iconic jewelry designs ever crafted by the house, from a Sapphire and Diamond 'Zip Couture Tirette' Necklace (estimate: $250,000–350,000)—famously inspired by Wallis Simpson, the Duchess of Windsor—to 'À Cheval’ Earrings (estimate: $50,000–70,000), and two ‘Mystery Set’ bracelets (estimate: $120,000–180,000).

The sale also features An Eye for Beauty: Rare Jewels from a Distinguished Private Collection representing one collector’s passion to acquire the finest examples of jewelry from the 18th century to the early 20th century. In addition to the rarity of the jewels themselves, the condition of each individual piece is exceptional. Comprised of nine impressive jewels, many are also accompanied by their original or early retailer cases, making them all the more noteworthy.

Other highlights include an Art Deco Ceylon Sapphire and Diamond Ring of 14.96 carats from the Collection of Emily Sophia Harding (estimate: $100,000–150,000), an Emerald and Diamond Brooch formerly from the Collection of Caroline Ryan Foulke (estimate: $250,000–350,000), and a Van Cleef & Arpels Diamond and Cultured Pearl Ribbon Brooch formerly from the Collection of Eva ‘Evita’ Perón (estimate: $80,000–120,000), as well as the previously announced Jewels as Art: Magnificent Jewels from a Private Collection.

Previews will be available at Christie’s Rockefeller Center galleries from December 6–9. The concurrent Jewels Online sale, featuring a curated selection of fine jewelry from antique to contemporary, will be open for browsing and bidding from December 3–12.
