Meet Wan Ting Lin: The designer behind immersive experiences
Wan Ting Lin.

NEW YORK, NY.- Wan Ting Lin, a US-based experiential designer, is making waves on the international design scene. With a human-centered approach and a diverse portfolio spanning event experiences, commercial exhibitions, and public spaces, Lin is carving a niche for herself by creating emotionally resonant and meaningful spatial solutions.

Lin's design philosophy prioritizes the user experience, seamlessly integrating brand values with engaging environments. Her expertise lies in spatial planning, lighting design, and interactive elements, crafting spaces that not only captivate audiences but also leave a lasting impression. This dedication to user-centric design has propelled her to work with high-profile clients and contribute to major events across the United States.

A Master’s graduate in Exhibition and Experience Design from the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) in New York, Lin developed a solid foundation in design thinking, spatial planning, and interactive elements. After graduating, she embarked on a successful freelance career, collaborating with renowned creative agencies on high-profile projects across the United States. Her expertise in 3D modeling, visual rendering, and lighting design has allowed her to craft immersive environments that captivate audiences while remaining strategically aligned with brand narratives.

Defining Moments: 2024 and Beyond

The year 2024 marked a turning point in Lin’s career, as she played a pivotal role in some of the most high-profile experiential events in the United States. At Bravo Fan Fest in Miami, a nationally recognized entertainment event, Lin was entrusted with key aspects of the experience design, creating an engaging environment that enhanced audience interaction while maintaining a strong brand presence. Through bold visual compositions, dynamic spatial layouts, and immersive lighting techniques, she transformed the venue into a compelling experiential landscape that resonated with both clients and attendees.

Within Bravo Fan Fest, Lin also contributed to Wayfair’s immersive shopping activation, "The Real Housewives Supper Club." This interactive retail space seamlessly merged entertainment with commerce, allowing attendees to explore home décor selections through an intuitive QR code shopping system. By integrating digital interaction into a visually curated, high-end lifestyle setting, Lin played a crucial role in bringing Wayfair’s brand essence to life in an experiential format.

Her expertise in cultural storytelling was further showcased at Essence Fest 2024 in New Orleans, an event that celebrates Black culture and community. Lin took on the challenge of merging brand narratives with spatial experiences, designing an interactive space that blended cultural significance with cutting-edge experiential techniques. Through dynamic LED installations, immersive digital content, and thoughtfully curated design elements, she created an environment that not only honored cultural heritage but also delivered a powerful visual impact, further cementing her reputation as a leader in the field.

Expanding Influence: Innovation Beyond Events

Beyond her work on large-scale events, Lin is also committed to pushing the boundaries of inclusive design. At the SEGD Academic Summit, she presented her immersive experience design project focused on addressing the needs of colorblind individuals in the US market. This project, allowing visitors to experience the world through the eyes of someone with color blindness, demonstrated her commitment to social impact and garnered significant attention within the design community. The Society for Experiential Graphic Design (SEGD), a leading organization in the US, provided a platform for Lin to share her expertise and further solidified her influence in the industry.

Prior to her freelance career in the United States, Lin played a key role as Lead Experiential Designer at Tai Dian Engineering Consultancy. During this time, she contributed to major government projects in Taiwan, including urban park revitalizations and large-scale infrastructure developments. Her responsibilities included concept development, project coordination, and integrating creative design solutions within structured government frameworks. These projects—such as the Sunshine Electric City Fire Recovery and Inclusive Park Improvement Project and White Lighthouse Park improvements—showcased her ability to balance creative vision with real-world constraints, reinforcing her reputation for delivering impactful and practical design solutions.

Her dedication to human-centered design, coupled with her ability to seamlessly blend brand values with user experience, positions her as a leading force in the field of experiential design. As she looks to the future, Lin is determined to further expand her presence in the US market, creating even more valuable and memorable immersive experiences for brands and users alike.
