BOLOGNA.- The exhibition presents a series of 30 unique sculptures that explore the essence of humanity through the dialogue between form and matter. Each piece tells a story, intertwining rigorous lines and aesthetic sensitivity in a balance that expresses the dichotomy between hardness and softness. Fabrizio Loschi invites the audience to an intimate and reflective experience, where sculpture becomes a means to transcend time and space, reaching the core of human existence. Loschis works represent a journey linking ethics and aesthetics, where content and container exchange roles. According to curator Lorena Zuniga Aguilera: Loschis art leads us to reflect on diversity within unity. Each sculpture, while unique, contributes to a universal harmony that transcends geographical and cultural barriers.
Through this series, Loschi challenges the traditional concept of a monument, proposing an intimate and portable interpretation that recalls Bruno Munaris notion of travel monument. The sculptures, conceived as narrative bodies, invite us to imagine the scenic spaces where their monumentality can be fully expressed. As the artist himself explains: The body is born as clay, the most archaic medium that transforms from raw matter into a thing. This series of works subverts the relationship between body and soul: the tangible becomes a vehicle for the intangible, and the multiple exemplar transforms into a unique work.
Born in Modena in 1965, he graduated from the "Adolfo Venturi" Institute of Art and began exhibiting in 1986, participating in exhibitions and projects in Italy and abroad. With a career spanning from painting to scenography, he has collaborated with internationally renowned artists and musicians, always maintaining an original and experimental approach. Today, he is a lecturer at the Fashion Training Center in Carpi.
