DALLAS, TX.- Heritage Auctions announced that Santosh Varghese has joined its Fine & Rare Wine Department as Consignment Director, bringing a dynamic blend of global business acumen, deep wine expertise and a strong background in strategic marketing within the fine wine industry.

Varghese, who is based in Heritage’s New York City office, began his career in investment banking in London and New York before transitioning into the wine industry. He held key roles at Zachys Wine Auctions as Wine Specialist and Marketing and Public Relations Manager, and later at VINTUS, where he launched and led Fida Wine, the company’s direct-to-consumer platform, working closely with collectors to source and offer rare and highly sought-after wines.

In his new position at Heritage Auctions, Varghese will focus on working with collectors nationwide to bring exceptional wine consignments to market, enhancing the company’s growing reputation in the fine and rare wine space.

In addition to his professional achievements, Varghese is deeply involved in championing equity and access within the wine industry. He serves on the Board of Directors for The Roots Fund, a nonprofit dedicated to empowering underrepresented communities through education, mentorship and career advancement in wine.

“Heritage Auctions has built a reputation for trust, expertise and innovation,” says Varghese. “I’m thrilled to join this exceptional team and look forward to working closely with collectors to bring remarkable wine collections to the auction stage.”

“We’re excited to welcome Santosh Varghese to our team as a senior specialist,” says Frank Martell, Senior Director of Fine & Rare Wines at Heritage Auctions. “His extensive background in business development and client relationships, along with his deep understanding of the wine world, will be invaluable as we expand our capabilities. This addition reflects not only our continued growth, but also our enduring commitment to serving collectors and partners across the wine community with integrity, expertise and care.”

Heritage Auctions is one of the world’s largest and most respected auction houses, with a robust presence in fine art, rare collectibles and an expanding leadership role in the fine wine market.
