GLEN COVE, NY.- Roland Auctions NY will present its next Multi-Estates auction on September 20th, 2025, with their stunning selection of Silver, Decorative Arts, Fine Art, Antiques, jewelry, contemporary art, Asian arts and hundreds of other impressive items in all categories. Previews will be held on Thursday, September 18th and Friday, September 19th from 10am – 6pm. At the September 20th auction, along with Roland’s always superb Fine Art selections are various private collections from prominent estates, brought together for this large 850 lot auction.


Group of Three African Hand-Carved and Painted Kifwebe Masks on Stands, 20th century, . Est $1,000 USD - $2,000.

These notable, highly-curated collections will include the group of African masks and artifacts from the From the Estate of Ronald Blatt, owner of Blatt Billiards, in New York City, himself a very savvy collector. Also at Roland, from an estate in Cedarhurst Long Island, is a gorgeous collection of James Mont Mid-Century furniture, mostly circa 1960 and fine jewelry and other property from the Estate of Sylvia Andres Dresner.

In the Art arena, Roland is offering an Aert Van der Neer (Dutch, 1603/4-1677) attributed oil on board of a burning village, with the artist's cipher to center lower, marked Aert Van der Neer to lower frame, and with a woodburned signature to verso. With an appraisal from NYFAA by Peggy Nestor showing retail replacement value as of October 2018, and denoting artist, date, and provenance from the gallery in the Carlyle Hotel in 1968 and restoration by Luca Bonetti in 2011, with value contingent on expert opinion. [Work: 17.25" H x 23.5" W; framed: 24" H x 31.25" W]. Estimate $20,000-$30,000, a Louis Elle Ferdinand II (French, 1648-1717) attributed oil on canvas portrait of a woman as Diana in a frame, marked spuriously Gerrit Von Honthorst to lower frame, work apparently unsigned. [44.5" H x 34.25" W; framed: 54" H x 43" W]. Estimate $8,000-$12,000 and a William Aiken Walker (American, 1839-1921) attributed Oil on Panel, depicting a man in a donkey-drawn cart, apparently unsigned. [Work: 9" H x 12" W; frame: 12" H x 15.5" W]. Estimate $8,000-$12,000. Also notable is an After Carlo Antonio Raineri (Italian, 1765-1826) Tempera on Paper landscape with two pheasants in a landscape, apparently unsigned. [Sight: 20.75" H x 25.5" W; frame: 28" H x 33.25" W]. Estimate $2,000-$3,000, along with an After Carlo Antonio Raineri (Italian, 1765-1826) Tempera on Paper landscape with two parrots over a landscape with insects, apparently unsigned. Lorraine Vail (b. 1952) Pet Bronze Sculpture, 1993, patinated and painted bronze sculpture. Estimate $5,000-$7,000.

Additionally being offered is a Lorraine Vail (b. 1952) "Pet" Bronze Sculpture, 1993, patinated and painted bronze sculpture of a chimera holding a man, on a metal pedestal. [42" H x 15" W x 36" D]. From the distinguished collection of Neil Zukerman. Estimate $5,000-$7,000, and a Tiffany Studios Copper and Enamel Vase, 1898 - 1902, of slight baluster form, the collar of overlapping leaves above pink milkweed flower clusters against an iridescent gold ground, marked to base "SG 139" (for Stourbridge Glass Company, Tiffany's enamelware Division). [8.75" H x 7" Diameter]. Estimate $3,000-$5,000.


James Mont Hollywood Recency Chest and Mirror, circa 1960, Estimate $800-$1000.

Mid-Century furniture is also represented well, with Roland presenting a very unique collection of James Mont furnishings, mostly circa 1960, from an estate in Cedarhurst Long Island. These pieces will include a pair of James Mont Hollywood Regency Armchairs, circa 1960, with upholstered seat and backrest and square spiral decoration to arms, unsigned. [29.5" H x 27" W x 31" D; seat height: 16"]. From Cedarhurst Long Island Collection. Estimate $500-$800, a James Mont Hollywood Recency Chest and Mirror, circa 1960, comprising a lacquer decorated mirror and a chest with three short over two long drawers with a gilt and acanthus decorated platform to lower, signed James Mont to interior drawer at upper. [Mirror: 48" H x 34" W; chest: 31.5" H x 60" W x 22" D]. From Cedarhurst Long Island Collection. Estimate $800-1000 (one of six items from a custom James Mont bedroom set), along with other chairs, bedroom pieces, sofas, tables and nightstands. Estimate $4,000-$6,000, an Art Deco Diamond and Platinum Bar Brooch, with milligraining, set with 99 single and full-cut diamonds, total approximately 3.20 carats, unmarked, tests for platinum. [6.6 dwt., 2.25" L]. Overall condition is good, diamonds well matched predominantly G/H color, VS clarity, with yellow gold pin stem and solder to reverse. Property from the Estate of Sylvia Andres Dresner. Estimate $2,000-$3,000 and an - 18K Gold Braided Bead Necklace, marked 18K ES to clasp, 40.4 dwt. [15.5" Length]. Estimate $2,500-$3,500.

All from the Estate of Ronald Blatt, owner of Blatt Billiards, in New York City, the auction will include an Antique Yoruba Ife Nigerian Cast Bronze Bust, early-mid 20th century, on stepped black plinth. [Sculpture approximately: 15" H]. Estimate $1,000-$1,200, a group of 2 Carved Songye Kifwebe Masks, Group of Two African Hand-Carved Kifwebe Masks, 20th century, likely associated with the Songye or Luba people, Congo. Includes one large mask having striated carved wood, painted white pigment, and woven fibers attached to the back. Together with a smaller example. [Larger: 23" H].
