"The analphabetic school of Biagioli"
Ooooo! Artwork by Filippo Biagioli wooden sculpture.

LU E CUCCARO.- Saturday, October 4 from 11:00 AM. On the occasion of the 21st Day of Contemporary Art, promoted by A.M.A.C.I., Nisolina Art Space is pleased to present a retrospective exhibition dedicated to the artistic journey of the International Artist “Filippo Biagioli”. The exhibition will display selected works from various moments of his creative career; most of the artworks will be pieces belonging to the Analphabetic Art movement. A smaller section will introduce visitors to another facet of his identity - known by a limited audience - Novies Lucens, revealing his work as an esoteric artist. The term “Analphabeta” is used when Biagioli creates pictorial works, whether on canvas or walls, through an immediate approach and a great expressive freedom, free from preconceptions and from the rules of conventional childish representation, referring to a time when humans had not yet been “educated” by the norms of our society. His representations are inspired by everyday life scenes, which overlap and blend in a continuous stream of consciousness filled with thoughts, phrases, symbols, and words, expressed through instinctive painting. The works are characterised by large disconnected areas of colour, deliberately anti-aesthetic and unreal. The perimeter of the artworks are defined by broad marking lines, almost as if to create an invisible barrier between the artist and the world surrounding him. Words, phrases, and symbols become integral parts of the works. By interacting with one another, they cooperate to the creation of the Artwork, shaking the viewer from the numbness of everyday life, and delivering a social protest filled with irony and sarcasm. By merging distant symbols and traditions, the artist returns them in a spontaneous way, allowing the viewer to reevaluate demonised archetypal symbols that are now presented with their original meaning. The exhibition titled “The Analphabetic School of Biagioli” aims to be an opportunity to raise questions, observe the world surrounding us and reassess the past through a stream of consciousness freed from our society and the stereotypes governing it. Nisolina Gallery invites you to become an active part in the creation of this “flash mob”: sudden, unexpected and spectacular. The inauguration will be attended by the artist’s creator, Dr Sofia Ancillotti, International Artist Filippo Biagioli, and the owner of the Space - as well as event organizer - Albina Dealessi

With the patronage of the district of Lu e Cuccaro Monferrato (AL), pro Loco Luese and Cuccarese.
