BEVERLY HILLS, CALIF.- Julien’s Auctions announced Bold Luxury: Bob Mackie, Stage Glamour & The Couture Edit. This extraordinary live auction event celebrates the artistry of legendary designers and the glamour of modern celebrity fashion, offering collectors a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to acquire a piece of style and entertainment history. Online registration and bidding begins on Monday, October 27th, 2025. The auction commercial can be viewed here.

Taking place on Wednesday, December 3rd at The Peninsula Beverly Hills at 10AM PT, this global event features an extraordinary collection of couture, stage-worn costumes, and celebrity fashion treasures once owned and worn by some of the world’s most iconic women, including Tina Turner, Cher, Beyoncé, Madonna, Whitney Houston, Princess Diana, Britney Spears, and Carol Burnett.

"Bob Mackie’s dazzling designs and the stunning couture pieces in this auction truly capture the essence of glamour and star power. Bringing these rare fashion treasures to the auction stage not only celebrates the legendary icons who wore them—like Cher, Tina Turner, and Princess Diana—but also honors the incredible designers behind the scenes. It’s a heartfelt tribute to artistry, timeless style, and lasting legacy." said Martin Nolan, Co-Founder and Executive Director of Julien's Auctions.

The Julien’s Auctions Bold Luxury auction series exemplifies how one-of-a-kind fashion artifacts and celebrity worn pieces continue to appreciate in value, attracting both seasoned investors and buyers looking for exclusive, rare assets. After the record-breaking success of our Princess Diana’s Style auction in June, we’re thrilled to unveil an exquisite piece from the Princess’s wardrobe in this sale—a stylish prelude to our highly anticipated Princess Diana auction in 2026. Anchoring the auction is an unprecedented offering of over 50 pieces from the incomparable Bob Mackie, whose designs defined the spectacle of stage, screen, and red-carpet glamour.

“I have spent a lifetime accumulating wonderful couture and collectible costume pieces. I also have quite a selection of my sketches to share and not enough room to store them all! I am very happy to share these with folks who love them.” said Bob Mackie.
