KANSAS CITY, MO.- The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art presents Enrique Chagoya: Return to Goyas Caprichos. A suite of eight contemporary prints by Enrique Chagoya (American, b. 1953, Mexico City) recasts Los Caprichos, well-known satirical etchings by Francisco Goya y Lucientes (Spanish, 1746-1828), in the modern world. Caricatures of public figures such as Linda Tripp, Jesse Helms and Jerry Falwell populate this savagely witty series from 1999, on view for the first time since being presented by the Museums Print Society in 2005.
