DALLAS, TX.- Heritage Auctions will present The Actors Auction, an inaugural, charitable auction, taking place December 1st, featuring exclusive memorabilia donated directly by celebrated actors, entertainers and studios benefiting the SAG-AFTRA Foundation a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting performers since 1985. In addition, Heritage hosted a two-day appraisal event in Los Angeles where performers brought forward personal treasures that are now being offered to collectors in this benefit auction.
This event is about more than just discovering the value of your hidden treasures its about supporting a safety net for performing artists, says Courtney B. Vance, President and Chairman of the Board of the SAG-AFTRA Foundation. Whether our Foundation is offering career-building programs and professional resources or providing emergency financial assistance to performers in times of crisis, we are committed to uplifting artists at every stage of their journey. Were grateful to Heritage Auctions for their support in making this benefit possible.
Spotlight: The Henry Winkler Collection
Few items capture the spirit of American pop culture like Henry Winklers screen-worn Fonzie leather jacket from Happy Days and now, one of the very few remaining in private hands is up for auction.
While one of Winklers Happy Days jackets resides in the Smithsonian Institution, this screen-used jacket accompanied by a handwritten letter from Winkler himself is a true icon of 1970s television and coolness incarnate. This is likely one of the most significant pop culture artifacts ever offered, straight from the private collection of a TV legend.
In total, Winkler has donated three standout lots:
Fonzies screen-used leather jacket from Happy Days, with a handwritten letter from Winkler to the winning bidder
A screen-worn jacket from HBOs acclaimed series Barry
A private lunch experience with Henry Winkler, offering fans a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to meet the Emmy-winning star
Additional Highlights from The Actors Auction

Hollywood is filled with forgotten treasures, says Joe Maddalena, Executive Vice President at Heritage Auctions. Just like Antiques Roadshow uncovers hidden gems in attics and basements, this appraisal event has revealed the incredible value of film memorabilia and collectibles tucked away in closets and storage units.
The Actors Auction will reach Heritages global base of more than 2 million registered bidders, offering unprecedented visibility, and all for a worthy cause.
