NEW YORK, NY.- Spirited bidding and outstanding results continued at Christie's New York in Rockefeller Center on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, with the 21st Century Evening Sale Featuring Works from the Edlis | Neeson Collection, the final Christie's evening sale of Marquee Week. The sale demonstrated strength and energy throughout, with deep bidding from clients from all geographies vying for works on the phones, in the room, and online via Christie's LIVE.

The sale totaled: $123,585,950, 98% sold by lot, and 97% by value. This brings the running total for November Marquee Week to $870,924,382: way above low estimate for the week and the highest total for a New York Marquee Week in five seasons (since May 2023).

The top lot of the sale was Christopher Wool's Untitled (RIOT), which sold for $19,840,000.

The sale began with a selection of 19 exquisite examples of contemporary art and design from the Edlis | Neeson Collection. In total, the collection realized $49,223,800, and the top lot of the collection was Andy Warhol's The Last Supper, which sold for $8,127,000.

Throughout the whole 21st Century Evening Sale, exceptional prices were achieved for works by the most coveted names in contemporary art, including artists with current solo exhibitions at leading institutions worldwide:

• Amy Sherald, who currently has a solo exhibition at the Baltimore Museum of Art, whose work A Clear Unspoken Granted Magic—only the eighth painting by Sherald to come up for auction, thought to be a precursor to Sherald's acclaimed portrait of First Lady Michelle Obama--achieved a price of $4,101,000, significantly over the high estimate of $3 million, and the second highest price ever for the artist.

• Kerry James Marshall, who currently has a solo exhibition at the Royal Academy of Arts in London, whose work Portrait of John Punch (Angry Black Man 1646) sold for $7,151,000, significantly over the high estimate of $6 million.

Other highlights and artist records during the evening included:

• An artist record at auction for Firelei Báez for Untitled (Colonization in America, Visual History Wall Map, Prepared by Civic Education Service, which sold for $1,111,250—more than five times the high estimate.

• An artist record at auction for Olga De Amaral, whose work Pueblo H sold for $3,125,000—more than five times the high estimate and more than double the previous record.

• Seven plus minutes of bidding for Diego Giacometti's 'Berceau' Low Table, Modèle aux Renards, which sold for $4,528,000, significantly over the high estimate of $2.5 million.

• Cindy Sherman's Untitled Film Still #13, which sold for $2,271,000, over three times the high estimate of $700,000.

• Richard Prince's Untitled (Cowboy), which sold for $3,369,000, a record for a Prince sculpture at auction.

• Glenn Ligon's Double America 2, which set an artist record for a neon sculpture at $3,125,000.

• Agnes Martin's Untitled #12, which sold for $6,053,000, significantly higher than the $5 million high estimate.

• An artist record at auction for Joan Brown, with her work After Alcatraz Swim #2 selling for $596,000, nearly double the high estimate of $300,000
