HONG KONG.- In 2026, Christie's marks its 40th Anniversary in Asia, a milestone that reflects four decades of leadership, innovation, and long‑standing commitment to the region. To commemorate this occasion, Christie's Chinese Ceramics and Works of Art Department meticulously curates a special themed sale, 'Pearls of the Orient – Treasures from Hong Kong Private Collectors', taking place on 30 April during Hong Kong Asian Art Week, featuring extraordinary treasures from several of Hong Kong's most distinguished collections.

Led by the esteemed Dawentang Collection and alongside the exceptional Muwen Tang, Heng Ya Tang and Songde Tang Collections, among others, the sale pays tribute to Hong Kong's visionary collectors whose dedication over the decades has played an essential role in shaping the development of the Chinese art market and Christie's success in the region. Their passion and connoisseurship have elevated global appreciation of Chinese art and set enduring standards for generations to come. With a combined low estimate of close to HK$60 million, the sale underscores the depth, rarity, and significance of the objects presented. This commemorative sale also reflects Christie's continued development as Asia's premier destination for Asian art, as well as a global destination for collectors and connoisseurs.
