MONACO.- Under the High Patronage of H.S.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco, Monaco Art Week will take place from 27 April to 1 May 2026.

For its 8th edition, the event returns to its original spring schedule and once again coincides with the Art Monte-Carlo fair.

On the initiative of galleries, auction houses and committed players in the art world, Monaco Art Week offers the public an artistic journey through several iconic districts of the Principality. A programme of exhibitions, talks, performances and artist encounters will punctuate this week-long celebration of art. From sculpture and painting to jewellery and design, the works on view illustrate a broad panorama spanning ancient, modern and contemporary art.

The 2026 edition will bring together the following participants from different districts of the Principality: Artcurial; Christie’s; collect|mc; HOFA; Hôtel des Ventes de Monte-Carlo; Kamil Art Gallery; Elisabeth Lillo-Renner; Moretti Fine Art; NM Contemporary; Opera Gallery; Almine Rech; Galerie Adriano Ribolzi; Sotheby’s; M.F. Toninelli Art Moderne.

Monaco Art Week benefits from the renewed support of its main sponsors, EFG Bank (Monaco) and Moravia Yachting, as well as SMT – Société Monégasque de Transports, a longstanding partner of the event, and Aston Martin, which is joining the event this year.

A MULTIFACED ART JOURNEY

The proposed itinerary is characterised by a remarkable diversity of curatorial approaches, periods and media, weaving together historical dialogues and contemporary perspectives.

Solo exhibitions of modern and contemporary artists

Several galleries are showcasing distinctive figures from the international art scene.
Irish painter Genieve Figgis is presented by Almine Rech, whilst Christo, a leading figure in Land Art, is featured in an exhibition at the Galerie Adriano Ribolzi. The field of Design is represented by Ron Arad at Opera Gallery. NM Contemporary presents the Italian artist Alfredo Rapetti Mogol, Kamil Art Gallery welcomes the Panamanian artist Olga Sinclair, and the Elisabeth Lillo Renner gallery presents a collection by the Argentine artist Virginia Tentindo.

Group exhibitions that reflect the dynamics of the art scene

The group exhibitions demonstrate a focus on emerging scenes as well as dialogues with historical modernity. The exhibition "Les Praticiens de l’Infernal", presented by collect|mc, brings together young artists connected to La Station in Nice. Meanwhile,
M.F. Toninelli Art Moderne juxtaposes the works of Giacomo Manzù and Marino Marini, two modern Italian sculptors.

The (re)discovery of masterpieces and rare collections

Some exhibitions offer the chance to view exceptional works, such as those by Artemisia Gentileschi at Moretti Fine Art. Meanwhile, Sotheby’s is unveiling a preview of a collection from the "Fred Feinsilber Collection, from Giacometti to Brauner".

A transhistorical programme

The exhibition spans a broad chronological range, from the masters of the Renaissance to the most cutting-edge expressions of contemporary art, via major figures in modern and contemporary art.

A variety of media and techniques

The diversity of artistic approaches enriches the itinerary, encompassing a broad spectrum of artistic languages: from the refined pictorial techniques of the Renaissance, embodied by Artemisia Gentileschi, to modern and contemporary experiments, as seen in the paintings of Victor Brauner and Genieve Figgis. Marino Marini’s engravings, Christo’s collages, and sculptures from the 20th and 21st centuries – presented on a monumental scale by Artcurial – further enrich the programme. The exhibition also extends into related fields, including jewellery by Virginia Tentindo and Design pieces by Ron Arad.

The participation of major auction houses

The Principality’s leading auction houses are actively participating in this year’s event.

Artcurial launches the 7th edition of ‘Monaco Sculptures’, in partnership with the Société des Bains de Mer de Monte-Carlo, presenting a trail of monumental sculptures throughout the urban landscape.

Christie’s brings the expertise of Giovanna Bertazzoni (Chairman of Christie’s Europe) on the latest market trends to the conference entitled “Where is the art market heading? A snapshot of trends and developments over the last ten years.”

Hôtel des Ventes de Monte-Carlo presents its modern and contemporary art sale, featuring works by Giorgio de Chirico, Tancredi Parmeggiani, Mario Schifano, Léopold Survage and Georges Mathieu, amongst others.

Sotheby’s unveils highlights from its upcoming auction and welcomes Christy W. Coombs (Senior Vice President and Head of the Museum and Corporate Art Group at Sotheby’s) for a discussion entitled “From Private to Corporate Art Collections: Building a Visual Legacy”
