GLEN COVE, NY.- Roland Auctions NY presented a treasure trove of items from the estates of Oleg Cassini, Inc. and Cassini Parfums, Ltd., both business entities of the legendary, late fashion designer Oleg Cassini in their first of two auctions on April 11th, 2026. Part two will take place on Saturday, May 2nd.
Jenny Legrand (French, Active 1801 - 1831) Oils on Canvas, Two. Sold for $16,900.
This large collection of items all came from the lower two floors of the former gilded-age Cassini townhouse on East 63rd St. in Manhattan, which just recently sold in New York for $34.5 million. The collection features art, antiques, original fashion sketches and hundreds of personal photos with Jackie Kennedy, Princess Grace of Monaco and Cassinis many other high-profile friends & associates, trophies, perfume bottles and more.

Portraits of a seated man and woman in 19th century clothing, the man with pen in hand passing a letter "Mon Amie" to a dog who passes the letter to the woman in the second portrait. Sold for $12,350 and a William Skilling (American, 1862 - 1964) Large Oil on Canvas of a Tiger, large oil on canvas painting of a tiger, in a frame, signed Skilling to lower left, going for $11.050.

A select group of Antiques furniture offerings that sold well include an elegant French Empire Mahogany and Gilt Bronze and upholstered Recamier, French, first half of the 19th century, the green upholstery bearing Napoleon's emblem of the bee, the gracefully shaped outline, elaborately decorated with gilt bronze cornucopia, satyrs, winged lion and hairy paw feet, further enhanced on the sides with ram's heads and classical panels displaying maidens dancing with musical instruments, the foot board bearing an gilt bronze swan, another top seller going for $16,900, an English Two Part Japanned Chest on Elaborate Stand, Antique two-door chest opening to multiple drawers, with Japanned figures and flower paintings on black lacquer, atop a highly elaborately carved gilt stand base of angels and crests and high gilt carved legs. The top shelf in 2 pieces, the upper part with crown molding above a second top with dentil molding and gadroonish molding, went for $5850, while other decorative pieces included a Chinese Modern 4 Panel Mounted Low Screen, depicting a flowering tree with one bird on a branch, with a gold leaf background, signed lower right, and a chop mark, going for $6175. A Terra Cotta Bust of Marie Antoinette, France, 20th century, unsigned. [24.5" H x 17" W x 9" D], sold for $3900 and a Regency Mixed Metal Basket Chandelier, small ring top with sloping crustal button chains, to a medium ring with basket form crystal button chains, each light having 2 curled glass spouts and spear finial and a crystal bobeche with chains, bottom pointed metal spear, sold for $975.
