HONG KONG.- Marking 40 years of Christie's presence in Asia, Christie's presents Kronos: Titans of Time Collection, an exceptional single-owner collection comprising 23 remarkable timepieces, to be offered across two seasons in 2026 in Hong Kong. With a combined low estimate exceeding HK$100 million, the collection possesses one of the highest average lot values of any watch offering in global auction history. This underscores Christie's position as a global destination for the world's prestigious collections, reaffirming its market leadership for watches in the region for six consecutive years since 2020.
Among the collection, five lots will first be presented on 27 and 28 May 2026 during The Important Watches Featuring Kronos: Titans of Time, The Eternity and The Chronicle Collections Live Sales, as part of the Spring Hong Kong Luxury Week. The remaining timepieces will be offered in November 2026 during the Autumn Hong Kong Luxury Week.
Assembled with an unwavering eye for the very best, the Kronos: Titans of Time Collection, inspired by the Greek deity of time, is comprised of titans of the horological world. Top highlights of this spring season include Patek Philippe Ref. 5002P, Patek Philippe Ref. 5207P, and Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Ref. 26334OR. All epitomise horological rarity and artistry, elevating the collection into a landmark event for the most discerning connoisseurs.
Patek Philippe 'Sky Moon Tourbillon' Ref. 5002P-001
A full set example of one of the most important wristwatches ever to have been made in modern history - Patek Philippe 'Sky Moon Tourbillon' Ref. 5002P-001, is reserved only for their most important clients. So special is this grandest of Grand Complication timepieces that prospective buyers were required not only to submit an application but also to be interviewed in person before qualifying even for the waiting list. Inspired by the Star Calibre 2000, Patek Philippe succeeded in miniaturising the model to wristwatch size. This double-dialled mechanical wonder incorporates on one side a retrograde perpetual calendar with moon phase indication (front side), on the other a celestial chart of the northern hemisphere (back side), engraved with the Calatrava cross pattern on both the case and main dial, with 12 complications including a 'Cathedral' minute repeater and sky chart. The transparent crystal disk on the back of the Sky Moon Tourbillon rotates once per sidereal day. Reference 5002 was produced with an extremely rarefied output, and it is believed that only 40 pieces were produced in platinum, of which just 17 examples are known to the market.
Patek Philippe Grand Complication Ref. 5207P
Naturally, the owner of the 'Kronos: Titans of Time Collection' is one of the world's great watch collectors and has been privileged to add other highly important Patek Philippe Grand Complications to the collection such as the reference 5207P (image on the left at the top), featuring the most exacting complications known to watchmaking: a minute repeater, a tourbillon, and an instantaneous perpetual calendar, another of Patek's most complicated models. The reference 5207 stands as a true testament to modern horological manufacture. From the high technique of the movement to the beauty of the case and especially the dial layout with easily readable apertures, this magnificent creation was developed over a five-year period.
Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Ref. 26334OR
Another highlight is a very special and first-of-its-kind ruby-set pink gold Audemars Piguet Royal Oak made for the Italian retailer Dobner, reference 26334OR (image on the right at the top). A symbol of ultimate luxury, it is entirely set with dazzling diamonds, with the famous Royal Oak octagonal bezel richly set with 32 baguette-cut rubies, totalling approximately 3.42 carats.
