LONDON.- Christie's announces changes to the Board of Christie's International PLC with the appointment of François-Henri Pinault as Chairman and Non-Executive Director and Bryan Lourd as Non-Executive Director.

Bonnie Brennan, Christie's Chief Executive Office, said: “I would like to acknowledge Christie's great fortune and express our immense gratitude for the stability of ownership we have enjoyed for the past 28 years. The Pinault family's deep understanding of our market and unwavering support have allowed us to grow and to serve our clients in exceptional ways. The impact of this stewardship on the strength of our company cannot be overstated. With the appointment of François-Henri Pinault as Chairman, joining his son, François Pinault on our Board, and with François Pinault remaining as Honorary Chair we are fortunate to have the continued support of the Pinault family.”

François-Henri Pinault commented: “It is a privilege to assume the role as Chairman of the Board of Christie's. Our family's long-standing association with this remarkable business has been a source of immense pride, and we look to the future with great enthusiasm.

We remain deeply committed to preserving and continually strengthening the company's core expertise: connecting exceptional art and objects with a global audience through passionate scholarship, connoisseurship, and expertise, while continuing to innovate and expand.”

Bonnie Brennan continues: “We are also delighted to welcome Bryan Lourd to the Board of Christie's. Bryan is widely respected for the clarity of his vision and the extraordinary leadership he has demonstrated at CAA, building one of the most influential and innovative organizations in the world. His deep understanding of talent, culture, and global audiences, combined with his strategic insight, will be invaluable as we continue to evolve our business. We greatly admire his perspective and are excited to engage him as a partner in shaping Christie's next chapter of growth.”

Bryan Lourd said: “I'm honored to join François-Henri Pinault, Bonnie Brennan and the board of such a remarkable institution that values and honors the arts at the highest level, while ensuring constant innovation in the field. I look forward to supporting its continued leadership in championing artists and connecting collectors, creators, and audiences around the world.”

François Henri Pinault has served as Chairman of Artémis, the Pinault family holding company, since 2003. Through Artémis, the family oversees major investments across fashion — including Kering and Courrèges — wine through Artémis Domaines, notably Château Latour and Clos de Tart, entertainment through Creative Artists Agency, art through the Pinault Collection and Christie's, luxury cruising with Ponant as well as sport through Stade Rennais F.C.

In 2005, he was appointed Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Kering, which he transformed into one of the world's foremost luxury groups, encompassing renowned houses such as Gucci, Saint Laurent, Bottega Veneta, Balenciaga, Alexander McQueen, Boucheron, Pomellato, and Qeelin. Under his leadership, Kering became a global benchmark in luxury and a pioneer in sustainability with a deep commitment to women's empowerment. He also serves as Chairman of the Kering Foundation, established in 2008 to combat violence against women.

Since September 15, 2025, François-Henri Pinault has served as Chairman of the Board of Kering.

Bryan Lourd is CEO and Co-Chairman of leading entertainment and sports agency Creative Artists Agency (CAA). Lourd and his partners steer the agency's overall business, forging new areas that expand opportunities and resources for clients and the company. Under their leadership, CAA has evolved well beyond the boundaries of a traditional talent agency, pioneering a new model for client representation in the 21st century.

CAA represents many of the most successful professionals across film, television, music, theatre, sports, games, books, podcasting, and the creator economy. The agency also provides a wide range of strategic marketing and consulting services to corporate clients worldwide.

Born in New Iberia, Louisiana, Lourd attended the University of Southern California, earning degrees in Journalism and International Relations.
