NEW YORK, NY.- Christie's presents Design, a live auction taking place on 10 June at Rockefeller Center. This season's sale brings together exceptional works by leading designers and artists from around the world, spanning iconic figures in America such as Harry Bertoia and William Morris, French visionaries including Pierre Legrain, Charlotte Perriand and Jean Prouvé, as well as celebrated Brazilian master Joaquim Tenreiro.

Leading the sale is Property from the Collection of Alexandra Marshall, featuring François‑Xavier Lalanne's An Important Set of Four 'Grenouille' Fountains, 1981 (estimate: $2,500,000 – 3,500,000), a direct commission from Marshall to the artist. What began as a close exchange became a lifelong friendship between patron and artist.

Anchoring the season is Defined Space: The Collection of Henry S. McNeil, Jr., offered as a continuation of his visionary engagement with Minimalism across both fine and decorative arts. McNeil's collection reveals a deeply considered dialogue between art and design, brought to life through iconic designs by George Nakashima and Sam Maloof, along with elegant silver by Henning Koppel for Georg Jensen, including Koppel's Large 'Eel' Covered Dish, Model No. 1054, designed 1956, executed 2002 (estimate: $60,000-80,000).

The sale is further enriched by Property from a Private New York Collection, featuring seminal works by André Dubreuil alongside pieces by Line Vautrin, Axel Salto and Ingrid Donat, each representing the height of craftsmanship and innovation within their respective practices.

Additional distinguished collections include An Enquiring Eye: Property from a Distinguished Private Collector, featuring Pierre Chareau Pair of Armchairs, Model No. MF208-217, designed circa 1923 (estimate: $70,000 - 100,000), and Property from an Important Chicago Collection, highlighted by a classic and rare designs by Alberto and Diego Giacometti such as Diego's 'Maeght' Chair, designed for the Fondation Maeght, Saint-Paul-de-Vence, France, designed circa 1962 (estimate: $300,000–500,000).

The auction also features A League of Their Own: Line Vautrin from the Collection of Terry Donahue, celebrating the pioneering athlete from the first all‑women's baseball league in the United States, as well as Property from an Esteemed New York Collection which includes Paul Dupré-Lafon's Rare Bar, circa 1930 ($100,000 - 150,000), and an elegant pair of armchairs and settee by Eugène Printz.. Further highlights include bronze models by Rembrandt Bugatti such as the 'Lionne de Nubie' (estimate: $600,000-800,000) and 'Couple de jeunes Daims' (estimate: $100,000-150,000), and a Pierre Legrain Important and Rare Console, for Monsieur and Madame Maurice Martin du Gard, Paris, circa 1927 (estimate: $300,000–500,000).

This exceptional window features a cascading waterfall—an uncommon motif in Tiffany's landscape compositions—surrounded by palms, lilies, and irises. Additional highlights include Tiffany Studios 'Snowball' Chandelier, circa 1900 (estimate: $300,000–500,000), and the 'Nasturtium' Floor Lamp, circa 1905 (estimate $150,000-250,000).
