HONG KONG.- Across 27 and 28 May 2026, the two-day Important Watches: Featuring "Kronos: Titans of Time", "The Eternity" and "The Chronicle" Collections live sale in Hong Kong realised a total of HK$279,463,190 / US$35,663,779, with 93% of lots sold and a total hammer price 129% above the low estimate. The sale total recorded a strong 40% year-on-year uplift. Three remarkable private collections were 100% sold 'Kronos: Titans of Time Part 1', 'The Eternity Part 3'; and 'The Chronicle Part 4'. Christie's top-tier offering attracted intense competition across channels from 45 countries spanning six continents, affirming the vibrant demand in the international watch auction market. New and younger buyers were a key presence, with 47% of new buyers being Millennials and younger, and almost half of all buyers transacted online.
Leading the sale was an extremely rare double-dialled Patek Philippe Sky Moon Tourbillon Ref. 5002P-001 from 'Kronos: Titans of Time', which realised HK$14,164,000 / US$1,807,543, setting a new Christie's record for this reference. Important timepieces by master watchmakers also achieved exceptional results. Highlights included F.P. Journe's exclusive platinum Chronomètre à Résonance Black Label Parking Metre RT, which realised HK$12,065,000 / US$1,539,679, setting a world auction record. All F.P. Journe timepieces were 100% sold. In addition, the extremely rare and important 18k white gold semi-skeletonised tourbillon wristwatch Le Garde Temps, Naissance d'une Montre by Greubel Forsey, Philippe Dufour and Michel Boulanger realised HK$11,938,000 / US$1,523,471, the highest price achieved for this model at Christie's.
