SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, CA.- Turner Auctions + Appraisals is pleased to present Fashion & Jewelry Treasures on Sunday, July 19, 2026, at 10:30 am PDT. The sale features over 205 lots, almost all for women – jewelry from various collectors and estates; and diverse designer fashions and accessories, almost all from the estate of Joan A. Nitis of San Francisco.

Jewelry lots include necklaces and chains; rings and a wedding band; bracelets, bangles and cuffs; pendants; brooches; earrings; wrist and pocket watches; safety pins; and sets, collections, and groups. Most are gold or silver; many are set with precious or semi-precious stones such as diamond, amethyst, ruby, emerald, sapphire, citrine, cultured or seed pearl, jade, blue or white topaz, opal, turquoise, blue zircon, amber, quartz, onyx, or moonstone. Other pieces feature mother-of-pearl, trade beads, cameos, or hardstone. Noted jewelry names include Tiffany, Christian Dior, Kennth Jay Lane, Coro Craft, and Trifari Crown. There are also some collections, groupings or sets, including vintage and costume jewelry; and several Southwest or Native American pieces. Other items on offer are Bakelite or leather accessories, fine perfumes, Chanel makeup, a Waterman pen, several trinket and pill boxes, souvenirs from the Ritz Hotel in Paris, and several books.

From the estate of Joan A. Nitis is a wide selection of clothing and accessories, many from famed European designers. Clothing – much of it vintage – includes a wedding dress; lingerie; hats; veiled headbands; belts; a navy skirt suit; a child’s sailor suit; several silk dresses; a suede dress; designer swimwear, blouses, and sweaters; and corsage pins. There is an inviting array of Emilio Pucci items – blouses, miniskirts, scarves, coverups, and a bikini. A leather and fur coat is by Bonnie Cashin, and a fur stole by Kyi Kyi.

The accessories offerings are extensive. Among the scarf designers are Hermès, Ferragamo, Gucci, Paloma Picasso, and Ralph Lauren. The wide selection of purses, handbags, totes and wallets is from Gucci, Ferragamo, Kate Spade, Cole-Haan, DKNY, Paloma Picasso, and others. Footwear includes heels, loafers, sneakers, sandals and boots; many by Ferragamo, Charles Jourdan, Gucci, or Tod’s. The auction also features a variety of pieces from Louis Vuitton, including totes, a bag, suitcases, carryalls, and luggage sets. A Zero Halliburton suitcase is also on offer. Completing the auction is a 1963 portrait of Joan A. Nitis.

Turner Auctions + Appraisals begins its online auction on Sunday, July 19, 2026, at 10:30 am PDT; sale items are available for preview and bidding now. Lot 63: An Emerald, Diamond and 14k Gold Ring. Centering an emerald-cut emerald weighing 1.85 carats, framed by 26 round brilliant-cut diamonds, weighing in total approximately 0.30 carat; weighing approximately 2.9 grams; size: 7 ¼. Estimate $1,200-$1,500.

Lot 11: A Pair of Diamond and 14k Gold Feather Earrings. The articulated earrings set with numerous round brilliant-cut diamonds, weighing together 1.25 carts; weighing approximately 8.9 grams; length: 2 in. Estimate $1,500-$2,000.

Lot 10: An Emerald and 18k Gold Necklace. Featuring a bezel-set trapezoid-shaped emerald weighing 2.55 carats, to a fine link chain; weighing approximately 2.9 grams; length: 17 1/2 in. Estimate $1,000-$1,500.



Lot 7: A Jade and 14k Gold Bracelet. Designed with 12 pear-shaped jade cabochons, each measuring approximately 6.0 x 8.0 mm; weighing approximately 23.3 grams; length: 7 in. Estimate $1,000-$1,500.

Lot 40: American Waltham 14k Gold Hunting Cased Pocket Watch. Model #1889, grade H, with auxiliary seconds dial; case #288101, movement #4433018; size 6s; weighing approximately 57.5 grams; dia: 40mm (note: missing crystal, top cover not closing properly). Estimate $1,000-$1,500.

Lot 29: Antique Diamond, Ruby and 14k Gold Bangle Bracelet. Of openwork design, set with two old mine-cut diamonds weighing in total approximately 0.30 carat, and on round ruby; weighing approximately 18.3 grams; inner circumference: 6 5/8 in. Estimate $1,200-$1,500.

Lot 2: A Blue Topaz, Citrine, Mother-of-Pearl and 18k Gold Brooch. Centering a round blue topaz weighing approximately 2.65 carats, flanked by rows of channel-set square-cut citrines and half-moon mother-of-pearl carvings; weighing approximately 9.2 grams; length: 1 7/16in. Estimate $500-$700.

Lot 151: Vintage Gucci Black Suede Blondie Shoulder Bag. A Gucci black suede "Blondie" shoulder bag, circa 1960s/1970s, with large gold-toned cutout style logo embellishment on flap, and Gucci crest knight/shield charm zipper-pull; the strap gilt-stamped Made in Italy by Gucci, BREV.N.53280. 9 1/2" x 12 1/2." Very good vintage condition; light scuffing to logo. With vintage dust bag (yellowing). The Estate of Joan A. Nitis. Estimate $400-$600.

Lot 113: Vintage Emilio Pucci Cotton Blouse and Mini Skirt (Sz S/M). Two circa 1960s Emilio Pucci, Florence, Italy / Saks Fifth Avenue, Italy labeled multicolor geometric abstract pieces (no size tag, Approx. S/M): a light ,button-up blouse (approx. flat measurements: shoulders 15"; chest 18", length 26"); and a silky thicker cotton/blend mini skirt (approx. flat measurements, waist 13 1/2", length 17 1/2"). Excellent vintage condition. The Estate of Joan A. Nitis. Estimate $300-$500.

Lot 127: Vintage Leather and Fox Fur Coat, Saks Fifth Avenue/Bonnie Cashin. A circa 1960s-1970s Saks Fifth Avenue, Sills a Bonnie Cashin Design labeled beige leather long coat with fox fur collar and hem trim, brass swivel clasp buttons, full faux fur lining, approx. Size Small/Medium. Approx. flat measurements: shoulders 19"; chest 20"; length 41". Very good vintage condition. The Estate of Joan A. Nitis. $200-$300.

Lot 148: Vintage Hermès Silk Scarf, “Vue Du Carrosse De La Galère La Réale.” Galleon ship in red, green, gold on cream ground, dark navy border. Edges hand-rolled to front. Approx. 35"-35.5"" sq. Excellent vintage condition. In box, together with an extra empty box. The Estate of Joan A. Nitis. Estimate $150-$250.



Lot 21: A Diamond, Silver and Gold Rivière Necklace. The rivière design set with 56 graduating Polki diamonds; weighing approximately 59.6 grams; length: 19 1/2 in. Estimate $1,800-$2,200.

Lot 112: A 1963 Portrait of Joan A. Nitis. A profile portrait of Joan Alexander Nitis (1934-2025). Signature: lower center (illegible). Date: 1963. Medium: pastels/chalk on paper. Size: 14 3/4" x 11" (sight); 21" x 17" (frame). Condition appears good (not examined out of frame). The Estate of Joan A. Nitis. Estimate $80-$120.
