DALLAS, TX.- Unmatched in its size, composition and presentation, a Seymchan Meteorite Sphere, weighing an astonishing 26.76 kilograms (59 pounds), could become the most coveted item of any meteorite collection after it crosses the auction block in Heritage's August 26 Natural History Signature® Auction, which will showcase some of the most exceptional specimens from the natural world, including many prized meteorite specimens.

Expertly crafted from the renowned Seymchan meteorite, this polished pallasite sphere exhibits a mesmerizing pattern of golden-green Olivine crystals embedded within its body of nickel and iron metals, highlighting the prized feature for which the meteorite variety is so celebrated.

"Not only is this incredible piece enormous, but it represents the rare Pallasite variety and demonstrates exceptional artistry with its plethora of gorgeous crystals. This is a truly singular example of extraterrestrial material," says Kissick. "I have seen a lot, but not anything of this uniqueness or magnitude."

Another one-of-a-kind specimen piece in the auction, a jaw-dropping 3,088.16-Gram Australian Gold Nugget, smashes the threshold of nugget size, aesthetics and prestige. Equating to 99.3-troy ounces, this nugget breaks the scale for rarity, as specimens approaching 100 ounces are incredibly uncommon. Additionally, this vibrantly lustrous and sculptural treasure measures an impressive 6.3 inches, transcending beyond its bullion value and into the realm of a true collectible.

Another one of the standout pieces filling out the auction's impressive lineup of distinguished meteorites is a breathtaking Fukang Meteorite Slice, an exceptional remnant of the famous meteorite measuring over 14 inches and weighing over 7 pounds. A pallasite comprised of nickel, iron and Olivine crystals, this slice exhibits a wondrous array of hues from its gem-like crystals, ranging from warm gold to vivid green with incredible translucency. The size of this item alone entering the market is virtually unheard of, but when combined with the distinct clarity of its crystals, a specimen of this caliber could easily climb towards the top of a collector's list.





Adding to that list, the 875-gram Stardust Mine Martian Meteorite measures 4.5 inches and is classified as the main mass of the Stardust Mine Meteorite. Discovered in 2024, its trajectory from Mars to Arizona is traced through its pronounced orientation and richly developed flow lines, evidence of the fiery course ending its incredible journey. This is a truly remarkable specimen for any ambitious collector looking to build a record-breaking collection. Another standout, the Wadsworth Meteorite holds its own as the sixth-largest recovered specimen to date, measuring 2 inches and weighing over 54 grams. Its preserved glossy black surface can be attributed to its fresh arrival in Ohio on St. Patrick's Day this year, a witnessed fall producing sonic booms that triggered an immediate recovery effort and prevented significant weathering.

The auction's all-star lineup of meteorites is not the only thing that will catch bidders' eyes.

This stunning 16-inch "Gem" Ammonite Fossil dates to the Late Cretaceous Period, marking the shell's transformation over 70 million years. Both sides of the shell's fossilized structure feature dazzling iridescent colors that elevated its status into the highly prized gem it is today. Another "Gem" Ammonite Fossil in Matrix will also be available, as will an extraordinary 45-inch long "Big Blue" Woolly Mammoth Tusk demonstrating nearly complete vivianite replacement.

Across the Atlantic and into the plains of the Sahara Desert, collectors have a chance to acquire a particularly electrifying relic. In an instant, sand became glass through a powerful lightning strike, resulting in a beautiful 12-inch Fulgurite specimen from Egypt, representing one of the oddest phenomena of the natural world. Also coming to auction will be a monumental relic of the Atomic Age, a 10.7-kilogram (23.5 pounds) rough example of Manhattan Project Glass.
