HONG KONG.- Christie's announces two leading highlights of its Hong Kong Magnificent Jewels Autumn Auction – an exquisite 8.41-carat fancy vivid purple-pink diamond and diamond ring, and a 10.10-carat ruby and diamond brooch by Cartier. Offered on 24 November 2026 during Hong Kong Luxury Week, the auction will also feature an exceptional selection of coloured gemstones, jadeite jewels, natural pearls, and distinguished creations by celebrated jewellery maisons.

The Exquisite Coloured Diamond and Diamond Ring (hero image left) is centred on an 8.41-carat fancy vivid purple-pink diamond, a Type IIa diamond among the rarest and most chemically pure of all diamonds. Exhibiting one of the most coveted colour combinations found in nature, the gem displays exceptional saturation, vibrancy, and brilliance. Its remarkable size further underscores its rarity, as large rough pink diamonds are exceedingly scarce and exceptionally difficult to fashion. Set as a ring and surrounded by round and lozenge-shaped diamonds, the stone represents one of the most coveted categories in coloured diamond collecting. Building on Christie's track record of achieving landmark results for fancy vivid purple-pink diamonds, including the largest ever offered at auction with internally flawless clarity, this exquisite 8.41-carat gem is expected to attract significant interest from collectors worldwide.

The Superb Ruby and Diamond Brooch by Cartier (hero image right) features a 10.10-carat Burmese ruby, displaying the coveted "pigeon blood red" colour and showing no indications of heating. Renowned for their vivid red hue and remarkable fluorescence, untreated Burmese rubies of this calibre and size are exceptionally rare. The brooch is further distinguished by its Cartier design dating from the Maison's pioneering platinum period in the early 20th century, where the ruby is elegantly framed by triangular and square-cut diamonds. A superb example of early Art Deco design, the brooch combines bold geometry, elegant symmetry, and exceptional craftsmanship. Last seen at auction more than a decade ago, it stands as a testament to an era when visionary maisons such as Cartier paired the world's finest gemstones with innovative design to create enduring works of art.
