MUNICH, GERMANY.- Osram Art Projects Gallery presents Lucia Dellefant - Visioning - meeting your vision. Lucia Dellefant puts the viewer in the “driving seat”, letting them design their own visuals. She uses her pictures, objects and installations not primarily to present her work to the public but to provide representational and visual triggers to prompt viewers’ own imaginations. In her projects she designs for “spaces” in the widest sense, offering a framework for private visions.

Dellefant’s artistic projects have been developed specifically for the particular venue. Central to her work is a dialog with the viewer. The artist illuminates her personality concepts and space perceptions of the “ego”. The starting material for numerous works is the word. Terms, sentences, pictograms and logos are combined in her tableaux, sculptures and installations with amorphous, graphic and architectural forms, giving them representational dimensions.

This was the basis of the “life – design” series, a three-part landscape exhibited in several cities, that consisted of the letters “ich”, the German for ego. Forms were provided so that visitors to the exhibitions could write about their current feelings, situation and private visions of the future. Dellefant incorporated individual sentences from these forms in her “life-design” series of tableaux in which she combined statements by the visitors with paintings. In the new exhibition these pictures are in turn triggering the imaginations of new viewers.

In a similar way, Dellefant’s “visioning - meeting your vision” project relates to the visions of the public. In a modular installation several easy-to-use landscapes were created in the gallery and outside OSRAM’s headquarters. These landscapes offer us a space where we can withdraw and reflect on our own activities, desires and objectives, and create new images and courses of action.
