LONDON.- In today's Important Jewellery sale, Christies London, 13 June 2007 - the Faberge Tiara from The Collection of HRH Princess Maria Gabriella di Savoia, inherited from her mother HM Queen Maria José of Italy realised£1,050,400. This is a new world record for a tiara at auction. An antique diamond tiara with a row of briolette-cut diamonds, centre pear shaped diamond of approx. 8 carats, circa 1895 by Fabergé. Estimate: £400,000-600,000, Sold: £1,050,400, Buyer = Anonymous. The Savoia collection (Lots 1-41) realised £1,703,164. The sale continues.
