Gary Hill & Gerry Judah in London |
LONDON.- The Louise T Blouin Foundation presents Gary Hill & Gerry Judah, on view through August 26, 2007. The exhibitions feature work by renowned US artist Gary Hill and UK artist Gerry Judah. Gary Hill is exhibiting two new installations in the ground floor gallery space: Guilt (2006) and Frustrum (2006). Gerry Judah is exhibiting a new body of work on the second floor, featuring eight white-on-white panoramic landscapes inspired by war-zones that challenge the boundaries between painting and sculpture. Judah weaves an ephemeral quality into a brutal reality to create a work full of contradictions both conceptually and visually.
Gary Hill and Gerry Judah will be accompanied by an extensive lecture programme, education work and public events to examine issues including conflict of interest and foreign policy, and to explore new solutions for the challenges of the 21st century.
