José Antonio Suárez Londoño, Untitled, 1990, ink and pencil on paper, 16 x 20,7 cm.
BOGOTA, COLOMBIA.-The Museo Nacional de Colombia presents the exhibition José Antonio Suárez Londoño: Diary of a Trip Through Colombia, on view through July 15. The exhibition includes 52 small format drawings made by the artist José Antonio Suárez Londoño [Medellín, 1955], during his trip through several colombian regions between 1989 and 1990. The works are made on ink, watercolor, and pencil on paper. They feature images of a good part of the Colombian territory.
The result is a diary of a trip through images, sometimes with comments that complement them. The notes register the place and date and there are also notes on the objects drawn, as well as the insciptions of monuments and buildings.
