Antony Gormley: Blind Light.

LONDON.-The Antony Gormley: Blind Light exhibition at The Hayward closes on 19 August. Due to popular demand opening hours for the exhibition have been extended. The Hayward will be open 10am to 10pm daily for the final two weeks of the exhibition, from Monday 6 August to Sunday 19 August. The late opening will give visitors extra time to catch one of the most critically acclaimed contemporary exhibitions of the year. Blind Light has been a huge success for the gallery, and has already exceeded 120,000 visitors.
With a month left to run, it looks set to be the most popular exhibition held at the gallery in the last 15 years. The exhibition has attracted a large family audience, with over 4,000 children under the age of 12 visiting the show.
The exhibition features a series of new monumental works specially conceived for The Haywards distinctive gallery spaces. It includes one of the largest ever urban public art commissions, Event Horizon, which features 31 sculptural casts of the artists body on rooftops and public walkways across central London, spanning outwards from the Southbank Centre, subtly punctuating the city skyline. Antony Gormley: Blind Light, sponsored by Eversheds LLP, runs until 19 August.
