DETROIT, MICHIGAN.- The Museum of New Art has chosen artist Odie Rynell Cash as its new director. Yesterday Artdaily announced that Jeff Bourgeau, the MONA’s founder and director was resigning. Odie Rynell Cash was born in Detroit and is 32 years old. He has esxhibited his work internationally.
Cash stated, "My vision is to bring in foundations to support the museum and to put Detroit on the map internationally." Cash owned and operated from 1994-96 Creativity, Youth and Culture, a business that organized arts programming for the Ritz-Carlton in Dearborn and the Charles H. Wright Museum of African-American History in Detroit.
