|
DUBLIN, IRELAND.- Up to 3,000 people are set to attend next Sunday’s (Sept 23) lecture by one of the world’s greatest living architects – making this the largest attendance at a public lecture on architecture ever staged in Ireland.
Japanese Tadao Ando is renowned as one of the most remarkable living architects having won virtually all of the major international architecture awards – and this is the first time that he has spoken in either Ireland or Britain .
The 3,000 tickets for the event were booked out in one day with attendees travelling from all over Ireland , and overseas, to hear him present a lecture on his work called Creating Dreams.
The event is being co-hosted by the Royal Institute of the Architects of Ireland (RIAI) and the Irish Museum of Modern Art (IMMA) and sponsored by Kerlin Gallery and the Tea Room at the Clarence Hotel.
