PHILADELPHIA, PA.-Philagrafika is pleased to announce the seventh annual Philadelphia Invitational Portfolio: a portfolio of limited edition, fine art prints created annually by area artists and print shops.

The public can view the 2007 Portfolio in person for the first time immediately following the next Philagrafika member meeting this Thurs., Sept. 20, from 5-6pm, in the 1st floor gallery of 728 S. Broad St. An exhibition that includes all seven years of the portfolio will be on view at the same location from Oct. 27- Nov. 29, 2007.

The Philadelphia Invitational Portfolio is designed to provide opportunity for local artists, affordable artwork for collectors and greater visibility for area print shops. In addition to these goals, the portfolio program creates the opportunity for artists to collaborate with a master printer and encourages artists from other disciplines to experiment with printmaking. The portfolio is made possible through the generosity of participating print shops.

The 2007 artist and shop pairs are:

Anthony Campuzano with Brandywine Workshop
Marilyn Holsing with Silicon Gallery Fine Art Prints
Jane Irish with Fabric Workshop and Museum
Randall Sellers with C. R. Ettinger Studio
Jackie Tileston with The Borowsky Center for Publication Arts, The University of the Arts
Nami Yamamoto with Brodsky Center, NJ State University at Rutgers

This year's prints start at $375 (prices rise as they sell, so buy now!), full portfolios will be available for $1750 until November 1st and will rise to $2100 starting November 2nd. Don't miss the chance to get in on the amazing early bird offer! Checks or credit cards accepted and payment plans available. Philagrafika members receive discounts on prints from 2001-2006! To purchase a print or portfolio and to hear about available member discounts, contact Rebecca Mott: 215-701-8057, email: rmott@philagrafika.org.

Philagrafika promotes and sustains printmaking as a vital and valued art form by providing artistic, programmatic and administrative leadership for large-scale, cooperative initiatives with broad public exposure.
