The Franklin Institute Appoints Two New Members



PHILADELPHIA, PA.- The Franklin Institute proudly announces the election of Raza Bokhari and John Nugent to its Board of Trustees. Dr. Bokhari the Chairman of the Board of Parkway Clinical Laboratories, a full service diagnostic laboratory serving the tri-state area for nearly four decades. Mr. Nugent is Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of SAP Americas and Asia Pacific.

“It is a pleasure to welcome these two remarkable individuals to our board,” states CEO and President Dennis Wint. “The Franklin Institute is embarking on a new ambitious stage in its history, and their combined interest, passion and leadership skills will be a tremendous asset in our future plans.”

Physician turned entrepreneur Raza Bokhari is also the National President for the Pakistani American Public Affairs Committee (PAKPAC). He also serves on the Board of Visitors of Temple University, Fox school of Business and management, and is the member of the Board of Directors of the World Affairs Council, Philadelphia and Pakistan Fund for Human Development. Dr. Bokhari earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Punjab, Rawalpindi Medical College, and an MBA from Temple University, Fox School of Business & Management.

John Nugent has more than 25 years experience as a proven and successful sales executive in the high-technology industry, and is viewed as one of the most capable sales leaders in the industry today. Prior to joining SAP America in 2003 as Executive Vice President of Sales, Mr. Nugent worked for the Oracle Corporation for 17 years. Mr. Nugent holds a bachelor of science degree in business administration from Springhill College.
