MUNICH, GERMANY.- Bernheimer Fine Old Masters presents Guido Mocafico - Nature Morte - Photography in the Company of Old Masters, on view through March 29, 2008. The Guido Mocafico: Nature Morte exhibition focuses on photographs inspired by the aesthetics of Old Masters. Guido Mocafico concentrates in this exhibition primarily on three genres of still life: banquet, floral and vanitas still lifes, or as Mocafico calls his groups of works, natures mortes de table, bouquets and vanités. The bouquet and vanité works are new and are being shown to the public here for the first time. At first glance, the photographs seem hardly distinguishable from the compositions of the Old Masters that supplement the exhibition, because in his remarkable works, which are planned down to the last detail, Mocafico replicates typical still lifes of the 17th and 18th centuries. The exhibition shows about 20 photographs in juxtaposition with Old Master paintings.

Italian, born in Switzerland in 1962, lives in Switzerland and works in Paris. Guido Mocafico studied Photography at Vevey school in Switzerland. Specializing in still life photography, his most recent images are widely published in magazines such as Numéro, Numéro Homme, Paradis, V Mag, Vogue US, and Men's Vogue. He also works for major brands such as Gucci, Shiseido, YSL, Clinique, Bvlgari, Armani, Hermes.
