NEW YORK.-Phillips de Pury & Co.’s sale of more-affordable contemporary art, design and photography, known as “Saturday@Phillips,” will be introduced to Londoners on March 15, with the sale accessible to the rest of the world, through auction catalog preview and real-time Internet bidding, at www.LiveAuctioneers.com.
Saturday@Phillips appeals to the young buyer or collector looking to fill their homes with high-quality art, original furnishings and other hard-to-find pieces. Originally held four times annually in New York, the sale will take place twice in London and twice in New York in 2008.
LiveAuctioneers.com has provided online auction catalog preview and Internet bidding capability to Phillips de Pury & Co.’s bidders since March 2005. Those who cannot attend the auctions in London, but would like to participate through the Internet, can view the fully-illustrated catalog, place absentee bids prior to the sales and bid live as the events are taking place at www.LiveAuctioneers.com.
