David Fisher, Creator Of The Dynamic Tower, Named Worldwide Architect Of The Year

MIAMI.- David Fisher, architect of the renowned Dynamic Tower to be constructed first in Dubai, has been honored as the worldwide Architect of the Year by The Developer & Builders Alliance, the group announced.

Dr. Fisher was presented with the award at a gala event held at the Mar-a-Lago Club in Palm Beach on Saturday, November 8. Several hundred guests were in attendance, including leading developers and government officials from around the world.

The top six finalists were Dynamic Architecture/David Fisher, Foster + Partners, Jean Nouvel Ateliers, Santiago Calatrava, Pelli Clarke Pelli Architects, and Zaha Hadid Architects. The Developers & Builders Alliance received a record 2,300 nominations for the award.

“I am honored to receive this award from the Developers & Builders Alliance, as I believe strongly in the group’s stated goal of improving our global economy by fostering prosperous worldwide business relationships through successful projects and innovation,” Dr. Fisher stated.

The revolutionary Dynamic Tower, the only building in motion with each floor rotating independently, will be constructed first in Dubai, with other locations planned worldwide.

The Dynamic Tower offers infinite design possibilities, as each floor rotates independently to create a building that constantly changes shape, resulting in a unique and ever evolving architectural landmark.

The Dynamic Tower is environmentally friendly and the first building designed to be completely self-powered. It is also the first skyscraper to be built entirely from prefabricated parts that are custom made in a workshop, resulting in substantial cost savings.

Renowned Italian architect Dr. David Fisher is the creator of the Dynamic Tower, a building in motion. He has spent more than 30 years working to redefine the technical and technological extremes of buildings in cities like London, New York, Moscow, Hong Kong, Paris and Dubai.

This month, the Dynamic Tower was recognized by TIME Magazine as one of the “Best Inventions of the Year”. Dr. Fisher is currently meeting with top developers to discuss a possible Dynamic Tower in Miami.
