Diego And Frida Perfume Launched

MEXICO, CITY.- Works by Frida Kahlo and Diego Rivera serve as images to a new line of perfumes. With a floral essence and a bottle of 100 milliliters, Godven International has just launched to the market these products for the autumn-winter season. The perfumes feature in their case "Self-portrait with necklace of thorns", by Frida Kahlo, and "Nude with alcatraz flowers", by Diego Rivera. Art critics Raquel Tibol, Teresa del Conde and Blanca Garduño, say these reproductions represent a "vulgarization" of the images of both artists. However, Jacqueline Alcalá, president of Godven International, assured that the company has the permission of the Diego Rivera and Frida Kahlo Trust from the Bank of Mexico. The company indicates that the project will diffuse the work of the artists to a wider audience.
