7 Women from 7 Countries Opens at The Museum of the Americas

DORAL, FL.- The Museum of the Americas created the series "7 Women from 7 Countries" in 1992. It was a successful event and many women artists from different nations from America through Asia have been participated. The Museum's Director suggested to organize three shows for 2009: the first one in January and the others in February and May. For the show which starts on Friday, January 9, the following artists will participate: Nicole Angelica (Bahamas), Jeannette Berndsen (The Netherlands), Kanak Chanpa Chakma (Bangladesh), Viviana Puello (Colombia), Marina Reiter (Russia), Eba RG (Spain) and Shahla Rosa (United States).

Different styles and media are used to create original and high quality works. The show will start with a reception for the artists open to the public on Friday, February 9 from 6:30 PM to 10 PM. Admission and parking are free. The exhibition will end on Saturday, January 31st and the museum hours are from Tuesday through Friday, 11 to 5 and Saturdays by appointment only. The institution is located in the hearth of the City of Doral (Miami-Dade County in Florida) at 2500 NW 79th Avenue, Suites 104 and 108. Tel. 305.599.8089.
